Bolstering Africa’s Air Cargo Network with Modern Boeing 777-200F Aircraft

Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, Africa’s leading air cargo network operator, initiates a freighter service to Casablanca, Morocco today, January 09, 2024, expanding its freighter destinations in Africa to 35.

CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew expressed excitement, emphasizing the significance of this venture into the Maghreb region.

The move underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to reliable and efficient services, utilizing the Boeing 777-200F cargo aircraft with a payload capacity exceeding 100 tons.

As the foremost cargo network operator in Africa and a global air cargo service provider, Ethiopian Airlines plans to continually broaden its global presence, facilitating trade and goods flow by introducing new routes.

The Casablanca freighter service is part of this expansion strategy, demonstrating the airline’s dedication to enhancing connectivity worldwide.

Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services, a crucial business unit within the Ethiopian Airlines Group, presently serves over 135 international destinations globally.

Operating with both belly-hold capacity and 68 dedicated freighter services, including 17 dedicated freighter aircraft, the airline connects five continents.

Noteworthy is the modern warehouse facility with 1.15 million tons of storage capacity and a newly completed ultramodern e-commerce warehouse dedicated to mail, couriers, and e-commerce goods, boasting a capacity of 150,000 tons.

These state-of-the-art facilities, equipped with advanced technology, exemplify Ethiopian Cargo’s role as a facilitator for business and investment with their focus on efficient and secure cargo handling.
