Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister, Honourable Gaston Alfonso Browne, has praised Air Peace for its innovative efforts, particularly the recent launch of direct flights to London.

The Prime Minister stated this at a high-level business forum and dinner held at the Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria.

During the event, the Prime Minister commended Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, for his groundbreaking business decisions and the airline on its recent London service and expressed his country’s enthusiasm for when Air Peace will begin scheduled direct flights to Antigua and Barbuda.

The Prime Minister believes that this will drive socio-economic development and strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the partnership between his government and Air Peace for the establishment of LIAT 2020 Airline in Antigua and Barbuda, which is set to commence operations in the Caribbean soon.

He expressed gratitude to Onyema for his investment in the Caribbean nation and wooed Nigeria’s business community to invest in Antigua and Barbuda, highlighting the country’s safe and incentivized business environment.

He emphasized the Investor Immigration Programme, which grants citizenship to foreign nationals who invest in the country.

The Prime Minister listed various sectors that require investment, including energy, education, pharmaceuticals, banking, real estate, tourism, fintech, agriculture, manufacturing, and blockchain, adding that Antigua and Barbuda has impressive development indices, including a low inflation rate.

In his opening remarks, Onyema urged the governments of Nigeria and Antigua and Barbuda to explore development opportunities for mutual benefits. He encouraged fellow investors to consider investing in Antigua and Barbuda, citing his own positive experience with the LIAT 2020 Airline.

The event was attended by captains of industry, Air Peace management, former Nigerian football officials, aviators, and representatives of the Lagos State Government.
