Arik Air has proudly added another accolade to its collection as it receives the prestigious title of Best Sustainable Airline of the Year 2024 from the World Quality Alliance and Quality Standards Journal.
This esteemed recognition was bestowed upon the airline at the National Quality Summit 2024, held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja on Friday, March 22, 2024.
The Award General Committee of the National Quality Order of Merit highlighted that the award was designed to honor leadership innovations and creativity in quality management.
Dr. Ovie Ernest Shaka, the Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that the award aimed to identify, recognize, and reward companies, individuals, and products that embody a culture of quality assurance and best practices in quality management.
Dr. Stanley Timeyin Ohenhen, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, presented the award to Arik Air’s Director of Safety, Captain Jide Bakare.
Expressing the significance of the recognition, Arik Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, reiterated the airline’s unwavering commitment to operational safety standards, stating, “Arik Air is dedicated to continuously improving our management system and operational performance.”
This recent honor follows closely on the heels of Arik Air being named the Best In-flight Service Airline for the Year 2023 by the Nigerian Aviation (NIGAV) Award.
