…enhances security amid rising in-flight theft concerns
Air Peace has confirmed an in-flight theft incident that occurred on Flight P47190 on February 19, 2025.
According to Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications, a passenger was found in possession of a missing item after a comprehensive search upon landing at Port Harcourt International Airport.
The suspect has been handed over to airport police for further investigation.
In response to a concerning rise in in-flight thefts, Air Peace is implementing enhanced surveillance measures, including increased cabin crew vigilance and intensified in-flight announcements to educate passengers on securing their belongings and reporting suspicious activity.
The airline is also recommending the blacklisting of the suspect, demonstrating its zero-tolerance policy.
