The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria is seeking approval from the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, to launch a drone training program.

The appeal was made by the Assistant Chief Planning officer, NCAT, Mrs Stella Nwankwo during a visit by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, to NCAT’s exhibition stand at the 4th Drone Technology Conference and Exhibition in Lagos.

According to Mrs. Nwankwo, all necessary preparations have been made for the drone training program to take off, with instructors having been trained by the college to ensure a seamless start.

She explained that, NCAT offers a range of programs, including a part-time PGD in aviation management in Lagos and Abuja, as well as OND and HND programs in engineering in Zaria.

In response to the appeal, Dr. Meribole, representing the Minister, urged NCAT to take the necessary steps to move forward with the drone training program.
