Ibom Air, the airline owned by Akwa Ibom State, joyfully announces the successful delivery of the initial Airbus A220-300 from the order of ten aircraft placed with Airbus at the 2021 Dubai Airshow.

The handover ceremony took place on November 24, 2023, at Airbus’s Mirabel facilities in Canada, attended by former Governor Udom Emmanuel, Ibom Air CEO Mfon Udom, and COO George Uriesi.

Airbus representatives included Benoît Schultz, Daniel Wenninger, and Marc Arpin.

The cutting-edge Airbus A220-300, known for fuel efficiency and advanced features, joins Ibom Air’s fleet, enabling expanded services across African destinations.
