A wave of heartfelt tributes swept through the halls of Church of Faith Bible Ministry in Ikeja, Lagos, during the Service of Songs on April 6, 2024, honoring the late Rev (Dr) Victoria Peace Odika.
Rev (Dr) Odika, mother of Herbert Odika, the Director of Operations at Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO), peacefully passed away at the age of 86 on February 21, 2024.
In addition to the Lagos service, another Service of Songs is planned for April 12, 2024, preceding the Interment on April 13, 2024, at Issele Uku in Delta State.
During the Lagos service, officiating Pastor Dr. Godwin Christopher celebrated Rev (Dr) Odika’s life, describing her as an icon of beauty, both inside and out, urging the congregation to live with eternity in mind due to life’s brevity.
Former Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Mr. Nnamdi Udo, praised Rev Victoria Odika’s unwavering support and nurturing nature, highlighting her impact on numerous lives within and outside the family.
Dr. Kingsley Nwokoma, President of the Association of Foreign Airlines and Representative in Nigeria (AFARN), commended Rev (Dr) Victoria Odika’s strength in leading her family after her husband’s passing, emphasizing her remarkable legacy.
Grandson Mr. Ifechukwude Odika reflected on his grandmother’s profound influence, emphasizing her lessons on compassion and the importance of seizing every moment.
The Service of Songs, featuring worship ministrations and testimonials, honored Rev (Dr) Odika’s life and achievements, drawing a full house of church members, friends, and well-wishers.
Described as a dedicated leader and inspiration to many, Rev (Dr) Odika’s legacy was celebrated with gratitude and fond remembrance.
In his closing remarks, Herbert Odika expressed gratitude to all attendees, offering prayers for their well-being and prosperity.
