….SGF, Sanwo-Olu, Keyamo to attend Kuku’s award ceremony
Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, has been voted Aviation Agency CEO of the Year 2024 by stakeholders in the aviation industry.
The award, conducted by NIGAV, recognizes Kuku’s significant contributions and performance since assuming office in December 2023.
The online poll, which garnered over 3,500 respondents, saw Kuku secure 35.3% of the votes.
According to Fortune Idu, founder and Chairman of F.C.I. International, the organizers of the NIGAV Award, Kuku’s selection reflects her impactful leadership and positive contributions to the aviation sector.

In a congratulatory message, Idu said, “We are pleased to inform you that following the conclusion of the public nomination and voting process for the 14th Nigeria Aviation Award, you have been popularly voted as the winner of NIGAV Award 2024 for AVIATION AGENCY CEO OF THE YEAR,”
The award will be presented to Kuku at the 14th Nigeria Aviation Award and Ministerial Dinner, scheduled for April 11, 2025, at the NIGAV Centre, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The event will be attended by prominent figures, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
The selection process, which commenced on February 1, 2025, is described by organizers as “the most inclusive and credible industry recognition program in Nigeria.”
The event will also feature the presentation of the Aviation Year Annual Report.
Kuku’s tenure has been marked by significant improvements in airport infrastructure and the implementation of innovative operational procedures.
Industry stakeholders have noted a positive impact on airline operations, with improved airport facilities contributing to smoother and more efficient services.
Her efforts have also resulted in FAAN receiving industry accolades.
