To further stop the spread of the covid-19 pandemic at the Lagos Airport, staff of the customer service department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN, distributed hand sanitizers and face masks to passenger both at the domestic and International airports.
Passengers were handed the masks and sanitizers as they completed their observance of the Protocols before entering the departure and coming out of the arrival terminals.
The COVID19 materials were also distributed at the Hajj and cargo terminal of the airport.
General Manager, Customer service FAAN, Mrs Ebele Okoye who led other members of staff on its awareness walk for the distribution said, it is in celebration of the annual Customer service week by FAAN and to thank passengers for their support and constructive criticisms of their service delivery.
Despite the pandemic according to her, FAAN has never failed in ensuring service delivery to passengers and all stakeholders who required their services, adding that during the Covid-19 lockdown staff of FAAN discharged their duties as expected.
She pledged FAAN’s commitment of ensuring the comfort, safety and security of all airport users and appealed to passengers to cooperate with them to defeat the pandemic by following the protocols put in place at the airport for their own safety.
“Everything that is already done in other parts of the world is already in place but what we need from the passengers is cooperation from their side this very important because if you put down this issues on ground and they are not cooperating it might be very dangerous but the issue is that they should expect the best put of FAAN and we are so confident that within a short time this thing will fease away.”
Staff of the FAAN customer service department who defied the rain to embark on the awareness Walk and distribution of masks and sanitizers commenced the walk with a spice of music from the FAAN musical band from the FAAN headquarters to the GAT to the MMIA and terminated at the Hajj and Cargo terminal.
