Aviation Roundtable Safety Initiative, ART, says, it is deeply concerned about recent developments in the aviation industry.
In a statement, the Secretary General, ART, Olu Ohunayo says, the body is pained over the self termination of scheduled flight operations by Aero Contractors Airline Ltd. and the regulator’s suspension of Dana Airline’s operations.
“We are aware of the serious negative impact these developments will have on the travelling public”.
In its quest to find lasting solutions to the airlines predicament as its usual practice,the ART states that, it is in the process of inquiring into the root causes of this “very discouraging incidents that result in loss of capacity for the traveling public”.
“ART will make findings and recommendations to the stakeholders (government and the the public)”
They called on the air traveling public to be patient while steps are being taken to restore normal and safe services.
“We reassured that as an independent body of veterans in the industry and in co-operation with the government, regulators and operators, will ensure the best outcome for the industry and consumers for safe and reliable air operations in Nigeria”.
