The Council for International Protocol Professionals (CIPP) has been inaugurated following the expansion of protocol professional trainings in Nigeria facilitated by the FCI Limited.

For over 15 years the FCI Limited has continued to gather Nigeria protocol professionals under one roof to train and network on improving protocol service delivery nationwide.

Due to the expansion of the gathering to over 300 consistent attendants to its protocol events ranging from Courses, conference workshop and bespoke training, the growth of this group and the yearning for professionalism led to the formation of the protocol regional body at the IPOC conference of 2016 and the subsequent meeting in October 2018 in Calabar.

Having passed through the agenda setting period of the body with clear mandate, the group has developed strategies for the expansion of the profession with the support of notable government agencies and has formally inaugurated the CIPP on the 25th October 2018 at the IPOC 2018 in Calabar.

The newly formed board members, which include Mr Fortune Idu, (Founder and Interim Chairman), Zannah Ali Ibrahim (Yobe State Govt House), Udeh S.Austin (Nosdra) Mabel Olufemi (Benin Airport) Gambo S. Hamidu (Govt.House Yola) Oteju Olubukola . Murtala Mohmammed International Airport, Ann Dozie-Enukora (DPR) members are tasked with the responsibility of making the Nigerian originated body and international body within the next one year.

In the chairman’s statement made available to the media by the board’s public relation officer, Ann Dozie-Enukora, the Council is presently open to admitting members of various protocol affiliations and will through the process of self-regulatory and institutionalism bring forth refined professionals that will drive the next generation of new professionals.

Though this group is self-funded which at today has over 100 registered members but admission is still free following sponsorship support of FCI International Ltd.

The Council shall be Nigerian gift to the world protocol professionals as it aims to go international and will call for the first annual general meeting sometime next year.
