Lee Engineering and Construction Company marked its 33rd anniversary with a symposium themed “Celebrating 33 Years of Excellence: Embracing Our Legacy, Inspiring Our Future.”
The event brought together industry leaders and government officials to discuss the future of the Nigerian oil and gas sector.
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) President, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, stressed the importance of collaboration between institutions and indigenous companies.
She commended Lee Engineering for its significant contributions to the industry and its commitment to local content development.
The symposium featured a keynote address by Prof. Pat Utomi, representing the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Obongemem Ekpo.
Prof. Utomi discussed the Federal Ministry of Petroleum’s efforts to partner with local operators to grow the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), also spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of creating a conducive environment for indigenous and local operators.
Other notable attendees included the Group Managing Director of NNPC, the Chairman of Shell Companies in Nigeria, and the PETAN Chairman, who all recognized Lee Engineering’s significant impact on the oil and gas sector.
