The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has made significant strides in airspace management, achieving the prestigious ISO 9001 certification and receiving the Award of Excellence for Quality Service Delivery from the SERVICOM Presidency, Nigeria.

The ISO 9001 certification, presented to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, by NAMA’s Managing Director, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, is a testament to the agency’s commitment to global best practices and its robust Quality Management System.

The certification, achieved after an eight-year journey that began in 2016, signifies compliance with international standards in safety, efficiency, and the maintenance of Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) infrastructure. NAMA’s dedication to capacity building and operational excellence is further highlighted by the certification of all five major airports in Nigeria.

In addition to the ISO 9001 certification, NAMA was recognized as one of Nigeria’s best-performing service delivery agencies, receiving the Award of Excellence for Quality Service Delivery from the SERVICOM Presidency, Nigeria.

This historic recognition marks the first time NAMA has been honored since the establishment of its SERVICOM department in 2004.

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, lauded NAMA’s remarkable strides, describing the certification and award as a perfect end-of-year gift and a strong validation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

The Minister commended the leadership and staff of NAMA for their transformative contributions and assured continued support to further enhance the country’s aviation ecosystem.

Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, accompanied by his management team, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service.
