NSE Applauds President Tinubu’s NNPC Leadership Appointments

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has commended President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, on the recent appointments to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) leadership. 

The Society specifically highlighted the selection of Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, FNSE, as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, FNSE, as Non-Executive Chairman, alongside other board members. 

In a statement released by Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, President and Chairman-in-Council of the NSE, the appointments were described as a demonstration of President Tinubu’s dedication to strengthening NNPC Ltd and bolstering Nigeria’s energy security within the vital oil and gas sector.

The NSE expressed its approval of the President’s choice to place highly experienced professionals in these critical roles, emphasizing that this decision aligns with global best practices in energy governance. 

Oguntala stated that these strategic appointments are essential for driving sustainable energy security, infrastructure development, and overall economic progress. 

She voiced optimism that the new leadership would usher in a period of transformation for NNPC Ltd, marked by increased efficiency, transparency, and innovation. 

The Nigerian Society of Engineers affirmed its commitment to supporting the government’s efforts toward national development and energy sustainability, and expressed a willingness for a collaborative partnership with NNPC Ltd under its newly appointed leaders.
