
The Lagos airport command of the Nigeria immigration service NIS has refused the departure of another 9 females from travelling to the middle East for alleged human trafficking.
The Lagos Airport comptroller of the NIS, Usman Abdullahi who made this known to newsmen in Lagos stated that the refusal was between Sunday and Tuesday.
Abdullahi noted that upon interrogation the girls who were not even aware of where they were they going say they were going for employment in Dubai and Lebanon.
He noted that despite the daily departure refusal, the persons who were between the ages of 21/32 are adamant as they still troope to the murtala Mohammed international airport Lagos in a bid to travel for greener pastures.
Abdullahi stressed that the NIS was doing all within its powers to curb the menace of human trafficking.
Abdullahi disclosed that on the visa on arrival policy of government in the ease of doing business about 4000 persons from different countries have been issued visa on arrival at the murtala Mohammed international airport Lagos between January 1st 2020 till date.
