Heads of aviation agencies monitor work at the Abuja runway

Aviation agencies chief have paid a visit to the Abuja airport runway currently being rehabilitated.

Director General, Nigerian Civil aviation authority NCAA,  captain Mukhar Usman and the Managing director, Federal airports authority of Nigeria FAAN, Mr. Saleh Dunoma tour the site as the contractor commences work on the damaged runway.

Work commenced on the runway this week as the  firm contracted for the job mobilised equipment to site.

The Abuja airport runway was shut to flight operations 8th of March, 2017, to effect repairs on it,  the repairs is to last for 6 weeks.

Currently, the kaduna airport is serving as an alternate to the Abuja airport.
