Engineers in the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) have been encouraged to make professionalism their watchword in the discharge of their duties.

The newly elected Chairman of National Association of Air Traffic Engineers (NAAE), Lagos Branch, Engr. Sonowo Ayodele shortly after being sworn in for the next two years as Chairman said, a lot more still needed to be done in achieving professionalism in and off the job.
Ayodele explained that the Association would also pursue vigorously welfare of its members through engagement with the Management of the agency to address all pending issues.
He promised to carry all members along in the running of the Association to ensure that everyone contribute their quota to the development of the NAAE.
In an interview, a General Manager in NAMA, Engr. Theris Ijeoma Ihenacho advised young Engineers to carryout their job effectively and efficiently and avoid putting money first before their job.
“Our young engineers should strive for efficiency and effectiveness in what they are doing, they should not be looking out for money”.
She said, ATSEPs is very important to air safety and without them, it would be difficult for other personnel in the safety chain to achieve overall safety.
Highlights of the event was the election and swearing in of elected officers.

Those elected to pilot the affairs of the Association for Lagos chapter of NAAE are, Engr. Sonowo O. Ayodele Chairman, Kilasho Ibrahim, Vice Chairman and Adegbaju Christina as Secretary.
Others are, Olawepo Andrew O. Treasurer, Ahmed Mobolaji M. Financial Secretary and Joy Ijehon Public Relations Officer.
