The Boeing Company, a global aerospace giant, has reiterated its unwavering support for Air Peace, Nigeria’s leading airline and West Africa’s largest carrier.

A delegation from Boeing and Cranfield University recently visited Air Peace to conduct a five-day in-person classroom training program aimed at strengthening safety culture and operational excellence.

The program, titled “Advanced Leadership in Safety Excellence,” is designed to equip Air Peace’s top leadership with the necessary tools to maintain the highest safety standards.

Harry Magui, Senior Organizational Consultant and Program Manager at Boeing Global Learning Institute, emphasized the importance of safety in the aviation industry.

“Safety is the number one metric, without safety, there can be no business in aviation.”

Magui assured that Boeing will continue to collaborate with Air Peace in critical areas such as psychological safety, change management, safety leadership, crisis management, and just culture.

Harrison Debrah, Global Safety & Regulatory Affairs at Boeing, acknowledged Air Peace’s remarkable progress and commended Dr. Allen Onyema, the airline’s Chairman and CEO, for his resilience and dedication.

Dr. Fabian Steinmann, Lecturer in Organizational Resilience and Change at Cranfield School of Management, highlighted the shared commitment to safety between Cranfield and Air Peace.

“Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Cranfield, we are privileged to share best practices and lessons learned from around the world with Air Peace.”

Dr. Onyema expressed gratitude for Boeing’s support and reaffirmed Air Peace’s dedication to safety.

He emphasized the airline’s non-punitive reporting system, which aligns with a just culture approach.
