An aircraft operated by ValueJet this afternoon at about 3:30 pm local time, overshut the runway at the Omagwa International Airport, Port Harcourt.

The CRJ 900 Bombardier aircraft, with registration 5N-BXR and piloted by Captain Stanley Balami, reported a slip on the taxi turn after a safe landing.

The airline’s management in a statement assured that there is no damage to the aircraft, attributing the slip to algae on the taxiway.

The statement adds that, despite the incident, passengers were puzzled as the airplane had landed safely without any apparent difficulty.
