Passengers Win Big as Air Peace Marks London Anniversary

Air Peace, Nigeria’s leading airline, has celebrated the first anniversary of its Lagos-London route with a series of passenger appreciation initiatives, marking a year of significant achievement in transcontinental travel. 

The airline commemorated the milestone on its Lagos-Gatwick and Gatwick-Lagos flights by rewarding passengers with various incentives, including complimentary rides and surprise upgrades. 

According to the Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications, a highlight of the celebration was a raffle draw that awarded 20 passengers with free transportation to their final destinations in both the UK and Lagos, utilizing services like Simplaa, GTi, and Sixt Mobility. 

Also, five economy class passengers received surprise upgrades to business class, enhancing their travel experience. The anniversary was further marked by a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony onboard the Lagos-London flight.   

Air Peace Chairman and CEO, Allen Onyema, expressed gratitude to the airline’s customers, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to delivering world-class services. 

Since its launch in 2024, the Lagos-London route has facilitated affordable and seamless travel, reinforcing Air Peace’s position as a preferred carrier on this route. The airline has operated over 662 flights, transporting more than 136,661 passengers in its first year.   

According to Ejike, this achievement is evidence of Air Peace’s commitment to expanding Nigeria’s international aviation footprint. 

He added, the airline has implemented several customer-centric initiatives, including generous luggage allowances, streamlined airport transfers, exclusive limousine pickups with partners like SIMPLAA UK offering discounts, student travel discounts, and premium passenger rewards in collaboration with brands like Samsung. 

The airline has also contributed to job creation, boosted tourism and business travel, strengthened Nigeria’s position in international air travel, and fostered healthy competition in the aviation market.   

The image maker assured that, the airline remains dedicated to expanding its global reach and strengthening Nigeria’s presence in international aviation, with plans for additional long-haul routes and service enhancements. 

He also reaffirmed its commitment to superior service, safety, and customer satisfaction.
