Members of the Aeronautical Information Service Association of Nigeria, AIMAN has elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the Association for the next three years.
At a keenly contested election during the World AIS Day 2018 at the Premier Hotel Ibadan, Mr. Ngerem William George emerged the President while Ibrahim Audu clinched the Vice-president position.
Other elected executives are Olufunmilayo Adeyemi as General Secretary, Almakura Ishaq, Assistant General Secretary, John Oluson, Public Relations Officer, Financial Secretary, Dike John c, Umweni Aminat A. Treasurer and Nwogu Chika J as Auditor General.
After the swearing ceremony of the new executives, the new AIMAN president, Ngerem Williams pledged to carry every members along in the activities of the Association while also assuring that he would work assiduously to take the AIS to an enviable height in the industry.
He pledged to consolidate on the achievements by the past administration which he was a part of.
The one – day event had the theme: The Role of AIS/AIM in the Cockpit and it was climax with a book launch written by the immediate past president, Mr. Babatunde Shittu entitled: ” Aeronautical Information Management: the pivot of safety in aviation ( Nigeria in perspective).
