NAHCO Empowers Communities with Water, Power Projects

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Plc), in a bid to empower its communities, has inaugurated five borehole projects – four in Ode-Aye, Ondo State and one at Adebola Creative Comprehensive College, Badagry, Lagos State.

NAHCO’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Indranil Gupta, expressed the company’s desire to expand its positive impact. 

He emphasized the importance of good maintenance to encourage further donations. 

The boreholes in Ode-Aye are solar-powered for sustainable water access.

The traditional ruler of Ode-Aye Kingdom, HRM Oba William Akinmusayo Akinlade, applauded NAHCO for its thoughtful initiative, especially as the dry season approaches. 

He expressed hope for continued support from the company’s board.

The project coordinator, Sir Soji Aguda, assured NAHCO that residents would safeguard the facilities.

While inaugurating the borehole at Adebola Creative Comprehensive College, Mr. Gupta, represented by AGM Corporate Communications, Mr. Tayo Ajakaye, explained the need to support schools. 

NAHCO donated a 3.5kva generator alongside the borehole.

The school’s CEO, Prince Adegbehin Adetarami, expressed his gratitude for the life-changing gifts. 

He highlighted how the borehole and generator will address water scarcity and provide constant electricity for the school’s activities.

The Divisional Police Officer, Morogbo Division, CSP Adekunle Olaitan, commended NAHCO’s initiative, stating it promotes a culture of giving back in the students. 

The Chairman of the school’s PTA, Dr. Okedusi Olorunsola, lauded NAHCO’s CSR policy as an example for other organizations.
