In August 2022, he returned a substantial sum of $10,000 found in the seat of an Egypt Air aircraft at Kano International Airport, where he works.
The panel of international judges was impressed by his exemplary behavior, considering it an excellent example of integrity that trumped five other finalists from around the world.
