
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo has announced new initiatives to enhance service delivery and environmental conditions at Nigerian airports.
To ensure compliance with the highest standards, the Minister in a statement, says, voluntary Special Airport Marshals will be appointed from the media, NGOs, and state representatives to conduct unscheduled airport inspections.
These Marshals will report directly to the Minister, ensuring transparency and accountability in airport management.
Also, the Minister, along with key aviation officials and lawmakers, will conduct monthly unscheduled visits to airports nationwide, these visits will involve direct participation in airport operations, addressing staff concerns, and promoting professionalism.
Through these measures, the Minister aims to improve the overall airport experience for travelers and hold airport management accountable for their responsibilities.
