….Celebrating the Vital Role of Flight Attendants
Preparations are complete for the International Cabin Crew Day 2024 celebrations, scheduled to take place at the 7th annual Cabin Crew Fair on May 31.
This global event honors flight attendants worldwide, acknowledging their dedication and vital role in ensuring safe and comfortable air travel.
International Flight Attendant Day, observed in various parts of the world, recognizes the efforts of flight crew members who work tirelessly to provide care and reassurance throughout flights.
This day of appreciation began in 2015 in Canada, initiated by a Canadian union to celebrate the hard work and spirit of flight attendants.
This year’s fair, hosted by Mamaj Aviation Consult Limited, will see cabin crew executives from various airlines, industry leaders, aspiring crew members, and aviation training organizations come together to celebrate the profession.
The theme for this year’s event is “The Cabin Crew Profession: The Role of Aeromedical”, taking place at the the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority Annex, starting at 9am.
The keynote address will be delivered by the Acting Director General Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo.
Other distinguished speakers include Capt. Donald Tonye Spiff, Director of Operations, Licensing, and Training Standards; Esther Shittu, Head of Aeromedical Standards at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority; Bernice Kunbi Leshi, COO of Bellagio Air; Dora Ndabai; and Capt. Jibola Idowu from Air Peace Airlines.
The fair aims to strengthen relationships among Nigerian cabin crew professionals, inspire the next generation to pursue careers in cabin crew, highlight opportunities within the aviation industry, and emphasize the strategic role of cabin crew.
It also seeks to help attendees identify key skills and create a platform for professionals and aspiring crew members to connect, share knowledge, and engage with certified training organizations.
