Micheal Achimugu, NCAA’s Director, PR&CP
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is pleased to announce the assumption of office of Mr. Michael Achimugu as the newly appointed Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection.
Bringing a wealth of experience, Mr. Achimugu has a robust background in communications, with over two decades of expertise that spans his roles in the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) and managing communication campaigns for prominent presidential candidates.
During his tenure in the Nigeria Customs Service, he excelled as a Public Relations personnel and notably became the Service’s inaugural Social Media Officer.
Beyond this, Mr. Achimugu made significant contributions in the political arena, where he holds the distinction of being the first and only Nigerian to serve as a Media Consultant to multiple presidential candidates in a single election cycle.
His notable roles include serving as the Media Director for the Atiku Campaign Organisation and later as the Media Consultant for Dr. Kingsley Moghalu’s Presidential Campaign. Additionally, Mr. Achimugu has showcased his versatility as a singer, writer, movie producer/director, and creative director for various media firms.
Known as a fixer, he has assisted VIPs in brand creation, damage control, and solving intricate problems.
With a reputation as a team-builder, leader, project manager, and consummate professional, Mr. Achimugu assumed the role of Director on December 22, 2023.
Prior to this appointment, he served as the Special Assistant for Customer Relations to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Fetsus Keyamo, SAN.
Notably, he initially held the position of Special Assistant, Media to the minister before transitioning to his later role.
