The Management, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN has agreed to pay full salary to its workers for the month of May after a meeting with Unions in the industry Thursday.
The Unions had a letter to the Management says they will not guarantee industrial harmony if a meeting was not called within 24 hours to discuss the memo sent to the staff that they will not able to pay their full salary due to dwindling revenue.
“We cannot guarantee industrial harmony and the consequences which may arise shall be put onto your door steps.”
The unions include; Association of Nigerian Aviation Professional, ANAP, National Union of Air Transport Employees, NUATE, Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, ATSSSAN and National Union of Pensioners, NUP.
Announcing the agreement reached, the unions in a joint statement say all airport workers will receive full payment of their salaries in the month of May.
The statement reads; “Full payment of May salary across all grade level.”
“While subsequent months will be subject to improvement in revenue generation.”
