Air Peace Marks First Year of Lagos-London Route, Carrying Over 136,000 Passengers

Air Peace has celebrated the first anniversary of its Lagos-London route, marking a year of substantial passenger movement and strategic expansion. 

According to figures released by the airline, over 662 flights have operated on the route since its launch on March 30, 2024, transporting in excess of 136,661 passengers. 

This milestone underscores the airline’s growing presence in the European market and its commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s international aviation footprint.

Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications at Air Peace Limited in a statement, stressed the significance of this achievement, emphasizing the airline’s dedication to providing competitive fares and premium services. 

The airline’s Boeing 777 aircraft has facilitated a substantial flow of passengers between Lagos and London, contributing to increased connectivity and economic activity.

Air Peace Chairman and CEO, Dr. Allen Onyema, reiterated the airline’s vision to make international travel more accessible for Nigerians, noting the positive impact of the route on the nation’s economy. 

The statement notes that, the airline has also implemented various customer-centric initiatives, including generous luggage allowances, streamlined airport transfers, and discounts for students, further enhancing the passenger experience.

While the airline’s operations on the Lagos-London route have demonstrably contributed to Nigeria’s aviation sector and economy. 

Explaining further, the airline says, the route has generated employment opportunities within the industry and related sectors, stimulated tourism and business travel, and bolstered Nigeria’s position in the international air travel market. 

Adding that, by fostering healthy competition, Air Peace has also contributed to more competitive fares and enhanced services for travelers.

Air Peace assures it remains focused on expanding its global reach, with plans for additional long-haul routes and service enhancements. 

The airline expressed gratitude to its passengers, partners, and stakeholders for their continued support, emphasizing its commitment to setting new standards in African aviation.
