AGM: Fire Cooperative applauds Agencies for remitting outstanding staff contributions, records over N46m trading surplus

The Airport Fire and Safety Cooperative Multipurpose Society (AFSCMS) has recorded a trading surplus of over N46m with members dividend at N27m in the 2020 financial report.

The President of (AFSCMS) Alhaji Saheed Sadiq who disclosed over the weekend at the Annual General Meeting, AGM said, there was an improvement in their financial report when compared with the previous years.

According to him, in the year under review, the hospitality business of the Cooperative which commenced operations in September 2020 was able to generate an income of over N15m.

He regretted that the COVID-19 pandemic had a great impact on their activities as the actualization of the Alakuko school project, training of members among others were negatively affected.

The Fire Cooperative President, also noted that the pandemic affected members remittance as major stakeholders defaulted.

He however expressed joy that all outstanding debts by the agencies have been defrayed, adding that, members confidence had been restored as new ones are indicating interest to join.

The Cooperative boss commended the NCAA Management for their continued support in remitting their staff contributions during the COVID -19.

On shares investment, Sadiq said, it was a means of generating funds for the Society to enable members have at least 5000 whole shares at N2.00per share.

He explained that special savings window had improved with savings attracting some percentage interest as benefits.
