SAHCO to Provide End-to-End Ground Handling for Air Algeria’s Abuja Flights

Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC, a prominent ground handling service provider in Nigeria, has announced a new partnership with Air Algeria. 

The agreement sees SAHCO providing comprehensive ground handling services for Air Algeria’s bi-weekly flights operating between Abuja and Algiers.

Under the terms of the full handling contract, SAHCO will be responsible for a wide spectrum of services, including ramp handling, passenger and baggage services, cargo handling, aircraft cleaning, and other essential support functions. 

The company, known for its commitment to safety and efficiency, will leverage its experienced team and modern equipment to ensure seamless and efficient turnarounds for Air Algeria at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Mrs. Adenike Aboderin, Managing Director/CEO of SAHCO, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that the contract win reflects Air Algeria’s trust in SAHCO’s capabilities. 

She affirmed SAHCO’s commitment to delivering the highest quality of service to support Air Algeria’s operations, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient ground handling for their flights.

SAHCO boasts a strong track record of providing top-tier ground handling services to major airlines operating in Nigeria. 

This new partnership with the Algerian flag carrier, which operates international services across Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, further solidifies SAHCO’s position as a leading ground handling service provider in the region.

According to a statement released by SAHCO’s Head of Corporate Communications, Mrs. Vanessa Uansohia, this collaboration aligns with SAHCO’s strategic vision to expand its presence across Africa and enhance connectivity between Nigeria and other nations. 

The new ground handling contract is anticipated to foster stronger ties between Nigeria and Algeria, promoting increased business and tourism opportunities.

SAHCO’s responsibilities encompass all ground-based activities from an aircraft’s landing to its subsequent departure, ensuring these tasks are executed efficiently, swiftly, and safely through the deployment of appropriate resources.
