The National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) will hold its 49th Annual General Meeting on April 9th in Lagos, with a focus on finding solutions to the challenges facing the Nigerian travel trade market.

The event with the theme, “Collective Prosperity Through Market Protection,” will bring together industry professionals to deliberate on key efforts to insulate and deflate the market viruses troubling the sector.

The meeting comes at a critical time, as the industry grapples with the impact of emerging market forces.

NANTA’s recent readmission into the United Federation of Travel Agents’ Associations (UFTAA) signifies the association’s commitment to finding solutions to the frosty issues that have eroded the once-lucrative Nigerian travel trade market.

The event will feature addresses from prominent industry leaders, including UFTAA President Sunil Kumar and Dr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN).

Dr. Joseph Kithitu, President of the Kenya Association of Travel Agents and Director/Vice President of UFTAA, will also be in attendance.

The AGM will also include an industry exhibition, which will bring together critical service providers and buyers to unveil emerging opportunities and provide data to licensed companies and organizations offering different types of travel and tourism experiences and services.

The event is scheduled to take place at Mercellina’s Place on Isaac John Street, Ikeja, starting at 10 am.

The gathering is expected to provide a platform for industry professionals to share knowledge, best practices, and experiences, ultimately driving collective prosperity in the travel trade sector.
