The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has taken a significant step towards enhancing aviation safety in Nigeria.
This it has done accrediting the Aerodrome Emergency Training School of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria as a provider of Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) training.
The accreditation ceremony, held at the NCAA headquarters in Abuja, aligns with the Acting Director General of Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo’s commitment to streamlining processes without compromising safety standards.
This landmark accreditation marks the first time ARFF training will be conducted domestically, promising to elevate safety standards and training uniformity across the aviation industry.
The benefits of this accreditation are far-reaching. It will strengthen NCAT’s reputation, boost global recognition, and attract increased enrollment from both domestic and international students.
This, in turn, will contribute to positive foreign exchange inflows for the country.

Receiving the certificate, Acting Rector of NCAT, Mr. Joseph Imalighwe, expressed gratitude to Captain Najomo for his leadership and oversight.
He assured the NCAA that the college will maintain the high standards set by the accreditation.
