
South African Airways (SAA) commemorated three decades of its Voyager Frequent Flyer Programme with an exclusive dinner at the Movenpick Hotel, Ikoyi. Dubbed “Voyager Elite Night”.
The event honored loyal customers for their enduring support and marked 30 years of the airline’s pioneering Loyalty Programme in Africa.
Addressing esteemed guests, SAA’s Country Manager, Mrs. Kemi Leke-Bamtefa, expressed gratitude, emphasizing the significance of Voyager membership.
She highlighted the programme’s evolution, transitioning from distance-based rewards to a more dynamic system based on expenditure, ensuring greater value for customers.
Mrs. Leke-Bamtefa announced plans to increase flight frequency, enhancing connectivity for seamless travel experiences.
Notably, she mentioned upcoming flights to Sao Paulo and the commencement of Perth routes in April.
Mr. Ohis Ehimiaghe, the Airline’s Regional Manager, Africa, Middle East, and Indian Ocean, extended appreciation to guests for their pivotal role in sustaining SAA.
Reflecting on SAA’s 90-year journey, he acknowledged the challenges faced, including the recent business rescue and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite adversities, SAA persevered, resuming operations and expanding its routes.
Guests were rewarded with free Voyager miles, with special prizes for early arrivals and raffle winners.
Notably, Mr. Chris Obasi, a Lifetime Voyager Elite member, received a large SAA Aircraft model.
Mrs. Leke-Bamtefa highlighted the opportunity to use miles for ticket upgrades, enriching the travel experience for Voyager members.
