MENZIES Aviation, an uncertified ground handling company with its headquarters in Dublin may get the sledgehammer of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA for operating with the requisite approval.

The company has been alleged to had carried out ground handling operations at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos without approval.
The company if found culpable for for violating the Civil Aviation Regulations, NCARS, may find it difficult to get certification from the NCAA.
Spokesman NCAA, Mr. Sam Adurogboye who confirmed this alleged violation in a telephone interview said MENZIES Aviation had no right or approval to have embarked on ground handling activities when it was still undergoing the process of certification with the NCAA.

He said investigation had commenced immediately into the violation and if found culpable, the agency would do the needful to serve as a deterrent to others.

Investigations revealed that the uncertified company was said to have operated with the license of Precision Aviation Handling Company Ltd (PAHCOL), which was issued certification by the regulatory Agency some years ago, but could not start because of inadequate equipment.
