A team of Airworthiness inspectors of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority NCAA, is currently in at the Port Harcourt Airport to access the burst tyres of Turkish Airline bupon landing at the Port Harcourt Airport this morning at 3.30am.
The Incident is also being investigated by the Accident Investigation Bureau AIB, AbujaInvestigation by our correspondent revealed no passengers on board the aircraft was hurt on arrival due to the damaged tyres.
Passengers who were expected to depart with the Aircraft have been kept in an hotel.
The runway was cleared of all debris in time for seamless morning operations.
According to a source, “NCAA Airworthiness are on ground to assess the situation .We are expecting Accident Investigation Bureau from Abuja”.
