The Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN), the country’s oldest multi-sectorial cultural tourism trade body, has officially set November 19, 2024, as the date for its National Elective General Meeting. The event will take place in Abuja.
A workshop with the theme “Tourism is Life” will precede the AGM, with a focus on “Peace and Community Safety” and the “Structure of the Nigerian Blue Economy.” The aim of this interaction between practitioners and policy experts is to foster innovative approaches to community tourism development and promotion.
According to Mr. Frank Meke, Chairman of the ATPN AGM 2024 Planning Committee’s Media and Publicity sub-committee, all national zonal officers are urged to encourage their members and stakeholders to register for the AGM through the dedicated ATPN digital portal.
The meeting will also witness the unveiling of ATPN ambassadors and a specially designed National Youth Service Corps tourism kit. This kit aims to integrate and connect Nigerian youths with the benefits, opportunities, and values of cultural tourism.
The prestigious Abuja Capital Klub and Apartments in Asokoro, Abuja, will host the Elective Annual General Meeting.
