The Federal Government has lifted a temporary suspension on the enforcement of helicopter landing charges.

Allowing MESSRS NAEBI DYNAMIC CONCEPTS LTD to resume collecting levies related to air navigation services for helicopter operations by oil companies in the Gulf of Guinea.

According to a recent ministerial directive, the consultancy firm will immediately restart collection of these levies at various oil company operations, including fields, platforms, terminals, rigs, and heliports.

As contained in a statement by the Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency NAMA, Musa Abdullahi, the directive specifically excludes helicopters operated by the Airline Operators of Nigeria from these levies, and mandates that Naebi Dynamic Concepts Ltd invoice oil companies directly.

This development follows a temporary suspension imposed in June 2024 by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in response to concerns raised by the Airline Operators of Nigeria.

With the suspension now lifted, Naebi Dynamic Concepts Ltd is set to resume its contractual obligations, marking a significant development in the regulation of helicopter operations in the Gulf of Guinea.
