Senator representing Anambra North, Stella Adaeze Oduah has announced a mega scholarship scheme for 647 secondary school students across the seven local government areas in her senatorial district.
According to a statement made available by her Communications Manager, Ezennia Nonso Chukwudebe, the scholarship scheme is in line with her vision to ensure that no child is uneducated for lack of funds.
The statement further disclosed that beneficiaries will be drawn from SS 1, SS 2 and SS 3 of some selected public and mission owned schools across the district.
“As we speak, letters are being dispatched to principals of some selected public schools across the district to furnish details of indigent students who would be required to undergo an exam designed to select beneficiaries.”
The details of the proposed examination as given by the Senator are below:

Girls Secondary School, Nteje.
Mater Dei Sec. School Aguleri. By Aguleri Junction.
Anam High School Oroma-Etiti Anam.
The statement added: “Students are expected to arrive early to their respective venues with writing materials: Pen, Pencil, Calculator/Math Set as accreditation begins by 9 AM.
“It should also be noted that this is the first phase of a mega scholarship scheme that will also include 780 indigent students in public primary schools and 35 in Federal Universities and the Senator wishes the almost 2000 participants of the upcoming examination all the best as they slug it out for the available 647 slots.”
