The Terminal Manager, General Aviation Terminal (GAT) Murtala Mohammed Airport Ikeja, Mr. Adekunle Aderibigbe has appealed to passengers to exercise restraint when their flights are delayed or cancelled during this period of sallah rush at the airports.

This is just as he warned that, it would no longer be business as usual as any passenger who becomes unruly will be handled according to the law.
Aderibigbe while speaking on his preparedness to ensure seamless facilitation of passengers during this sallah period said, Airline Operators using the terminal have been engaged and briefed on how to manage flights delays and cancellations without getting passengers angry which could lead to vandalism, violence and unruly behavior.

He emphasized that, operators must collaborate with agencies like the Nigeria civil aviation Authority, Aviation security and the Department of State Security Services, DSS before announcing flights cancellation or delay when necessary.

The GAT Manager stated that, top notched preparations had been made  beefing up security around the airport, assuring the travelling public that their lives and properties are secured in the airport.

He warned those without legitimate business at the airport to steer clear.

Aderibigbe explained that, the apron has been decongested of Aircraft On ground (AOG) and moved to the bone yard for easy turn around of operating aircraft.

Explaining further, he said, the cooling system, conveyor belts and toilets facilities have been given priorities to ensure adequate facilitation of passengers.

He appealed to travellers to leave home on time to the airport due to the anticipated vehicular movement on the express road during this period.
