The Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has recorded an impressive 88% On-Time Performance (OTP) in handling airline customers at the ongoing hajj operations at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos.
This surpasses the International Air Transport Association (IATA) standard of 85% OTP. Out of the eight flights handled by SAHCO so far, seven have been on-time, with only one experiencing a delay.
SAHCO’s success can be attributed to its teamwork and collaborative culture, according to Shadrach Kambai, Station Manager of Fly Nas.
Kambai expressed his delight with the company’s performance, stating that the achievement is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and collaboration among team members.
He emphasized that no single unit, department, or individual can take full credit for the success, highlighting the importance of teamwork in achieving excellence.
As the company approaches the final flight of the exercise, Kambai urged the team to sustain their energy, discipline, and humility, calling for continued collaboration, communication, and coordination.
He encouraged the team to finish strong, lift each other up, and cross the finish line with excellence and unity.
According to him, SAHCO’s impressive performance is a reflection of its commitment to delivering high-quality services to its customers, and the company is poised to maintain its position as a leading ground handling company in the West and Central African regions.
