RwandAir has applauded the contributions of the media to the development and growth of the aviation industry in Nigeria.

The country Manager of the airline, Ms. Ibiyemi Odusi in a meeting with aviation and online journalists in Lagos, said the airline appreciates the good work done by the journalists in the reportage of the airlines activities and the industry as a whole.

“we are grateful for all the support you have been giving us, we appreciate you and thank you very much”.

She appealed to the journalists to continue to support the airline with it balanced reportage which they are known for, adding that the airline is ever willing to talk on its activities both in Nigeria and other places they operate to.

RwandAir began operations on 1st December 2002 as the new national carrier under the name Rwandair Express (passenger Air transportation as the core activity) for Rwanda with a concession to carry out airport ground handling (ancillary activity) at Kigali International airport, Kanombe. In March 2009, they registered a new trademark “RwandAir” which is our current operating name.

Operating from Kigali as it hub, the airline boasts of a young fleet of two Boeing 737-800NG, two Boeing 737-700NG, two CRJ900NG and a Dash8-200 and has chosen to provide a memorable travel experience to every single passenger on their routes.

The airline recently spread its wings from Abuja- Kigali with a four timely weekly flight apart from Lagos-Kigali.
