Rotary Club of Ikeja Airport to embark on massive community projects as Eta Neji is installed 3rd President

Committed to the service of humanity, the Rotary Club of Ikeja Airport District  9110 is to embark on series of projects to touch the lives of widows, the unemployed, children, pregnant women.

Others are in the areas of water and  sanitation, environmental protection, education and literacy, disease prevention and treatment and peace and conflict resolution.

The Newly installed President of the Rotary Club of Ikeja Airport, Mr. Eta Neji at his investiture as the 3rd President of club at the weekend said, in line with the theme of the Rotary year 2021-2022 ‘Serve to Change Lives, the club is poised to ensuring that its immediate environment benefit immensely from the projects scheduled for the year.

According to Mr. Neji, in the area of Child and Maternal Health, the club would provide mosquito nets, diapers, cervical/breast cancer screening and support polio, de-worming and hand washing programme.

The Rotary Club President also disclosed that, the club would pay school fees for some indigent students and pupils for WAEC/SSCE, donate textbooks, organize career counselling session, quiz and debates.

He added that, “provision of bolehole at Mafoluku, Oshodi, cleaning of drainages, provision of waste disposals, tree planting, skill acquisition training for widows and unemployed youths, donation of lockers to hospital and also organize peace talks in schools and to members of the International community”.

Mr. Neji stated that, the mission of Rotary International is to provide services to humanity, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through their fellowship if business, professional and community leaders.

” I wish to call on all of you to partner with the Rotary Club of Ikeja Airport by contributing immensely, financially, materially and otherwise to the success of these laudable projects”.

Club members, friends, family members, representatives of other service clubs and well-wishers who witnessed the installation of Mr. Neji as the 3rd President of the Club in their various goodwill messages while wishing the new president great achievements during his tenure described Neji as one bestowed with leadership qualities, hard-working and dedicated to serving humanity.

The installation ceremony was spiced up with a motivating talk by a motivational speaker, Dr. Daniel Young.

He urged all present never to allow any challenges weigh them down in achieving their goals in lives, adding that in the face of daunting challenges, they can succeed if they do not give up.

The installation also featured the induction of new members.Highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to deserving members of the community who have contributed in no small way to better the community and society at large.

The awardees are: Architect Niger Danjuma Temlong, Mrs. Nwabuike Gloria, Dr. Mrs Ebele Okoye, Mrs. Fauziat Abiodun Ajeigbe and the League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents, LAAC.
