…..MD FAAN Seeks Public Cooperation
The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, has appealed to the public, particularly motorists using the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, to exercise patience during the ongoing road construction project within the airport premises.
Mrs. Kuku made this plea during an inspection of the construction work between the Toll Gate Plaza and Gate 13, known as the Service Road of the airport.
She expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of the work but emphasized the need for cooperation from road users to ensure its timely completion.
The 2.4-kilometer road reconstruction project, which includes drainage systems, sidewalks, and streetlights, is expected to be completed within nine months.
Mrs. Kuku thanked the Lagos State Government for partnering with FAAN on the project, highlighting the importance of such collaborations in improving the passenger experience at the airport.
“This road should have been done years ago, I am glad we have started it, and we need the full cooperation of all road users and members of the airport community to complete it on time and to the desired specifications.”
