The Emirates Group has announced a record-breaking performance in its 2024-25 Annual Report, solidifying its position as the most profitable aviation group globally.
The company achieved new highs in profit, EBITDA, revenue, and cash balance, with Emirates becoming the world’s most profitable airline.
The Group’s impressive financial standing is attributed to its strategic expansion of operations worldwide, meeting the high demand for its products and services.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2025, the Emirates Group reported a record profit before tax of $6.2 billion, an 18% increase from the previous year, and a record revenue of $39.6 billion.
The company’s cash assets also climbed to $14.6 billion, a 13% increase from the previous year. Emirates alone reported a record profit before tax of $5.8 billion, a 20% increase from the previous year, and a record revenue of $34.9 billion.
The Group has declared a dividend of $1.6 billion to its owner, the Investment Corporation of Dubai, and has invested $3.8 billion in new aircraft, facilities, and technologies to support its growth plans. The company’s workforce has also grown by 9% to 121,223 employees, its largest size ever.
According to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, the company’s success is a result of its clear mission to provide great products and services, invest in technology and talent, and positively impact the communities it serves.
“Emirates will strengthen our network connectivity with the expected delivery of 16 A350s and 4 Boeing 777 freighters in 2025-26, providing much-needed capacity to meet customer demand. Our retrofit programme will continue apace to provide our customers the latest Emirates products and a more consistent experience across our A380, 777 and A350 fleet”.
Sheikh Ahmed expressed optimism about the company’s future, citing its excellent financial standing and plans to continue building on its successful business models.
“Work is already underway at the new Al Maktoum International airport (DWC) and broader development around Dubai South. Our planning teams are working closely with Dubai airports and other entities to design and deliver the future of aviation and the best possible travel experiences”.
