The interviewee Capt. Ado Sanusi, Managing Director/CEO Aerocontractors airline provided insights into key areas of concern, primarily revolving around airport processes, infrastructure, and equipment.

On terminal Infrastructure, he highlighted the need for attention to both departure and arrival terminal buildings. Specific concerns were raised about conveyor belts and the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards. 

Emphasizing collaboration with manufacturers, Capt. Sanusi recommended replacing malfunctioning equipment rather than reinventing existing solutions.

Conveyor Belt Concerns:

The discussion turned to the condition of conveyor belts, specifically at the old terminal. He underscored the need for upgrades and maintenance to facilitate smooth luggage handling and passenger experience.

Aircraft Towing and Avio Bridges:

Addressing the towing of aircraft at landing, the Aerocontractors MD expressed concerns about outdated avio bridges. 

Drawing on experiences at Arik, he advocated the replacement of aging avio bridges, highlighting that a significant portion is not functional due to being bolted and outdated for modern aircraft requirements.

International Collaboration:

Capt. Sanusi cited an instance where collaboration with foreign experts led to successful improvements in avio bridges. The need for proactive engagement with manufacturers and international experts to update infrastructure was emphasized.
