Xejet COO Calls for Greater Collaboration Between Airports, Private Jet Operators, and FBOs

The Chief Operating Officer of Xejet, Mr. Sukh Mann, says, there is a crucial need for a collaborative atmosphere between airports and private jet operators.

According to him, the rapid growth of the private aviation sector and the increasing complexity of its operations, make such partnerships essential for ensuring seamless and efficient service.

Speaking in the theme: “Importance Of A Collaborative Atmosphere Between The Airports And The Private Jet Operators”, at the Airport Business Summit and Expo at the NIGAV Center in Lagos, Mann stated that Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) play a pivotal role in facilitating these collaborations, providing essential services such as fueling, maintenance, and passenger handling. 

He stressed the importance of strong partnerships between airports, private jet operators, and FBOs to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving aviation landscape.

Key areas of focus for these partnerships he listed to include, safety and compliance, enhanced efficiency and optimized resource utilization.

Others are, improved passenger experience, revenue opportunities, customizable services, strategic planning, and crisis management. 

By working together, airports and private jet operators can ensure that operations are safe, efficient, and meet the growing demands of the industry.

Mann also mentioned the vital role of FBOs in providing essential services to private jet operators and their passengers. 

Saying that, FBOs offer a range of services, including ground handling, passenger services, flight planning, customs and immigration assistance, maintenance and repairs, hangar space, and refueling. 

These services according to him, contribute to the overall customer experience, operational efficiency, safety, and economic impact of the private aviation sector.

On the responsibility of airports, to support and regulate FBOs to ensure their effective operation, this includes coordination and communication, facility management, safety and security, support and integration, economic and regulatory oversight, customer service and quality assurance, and emergency and contingency planning.

By fostering strong partnerships between airports, private jet operators, and FBOs, Mann emphasized, the aviation industry can continue to grow and thrive, providing exceptional service to passengers while maintaining safety and efficiency.
