The Airport Police Command has succeeded in arresting the assailant of a staff of one of the ground handling companies at the Lagos International airport.
Yesterday, the police command launched a manhunt for his arrest for reportedly stabbing one Mr. Tersun Orhembega while on night duty last week Wednesday on the ramp of the company’s warehouse.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the airport command, Mr. Joseph Alabi said the suspect; Adebayo Idowu was currently in the custody of the Divisional police officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ronke Oguniyi at the Nigeria Aviation Handling Company, NAHCO for interrogation.
The victim Tersuu Orhembega who had been in critical condition at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, was successfully operated on yesterday for over 5 hours.
He is said to be in a stable condition after the operation at the Surgical Emergency Department of LASUTH.
