The Meeting which had the theme: ‘Sustaining the Improved Services’, witnessed in attendance the Director General Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Prof. Mansur Matazu.
In his goodwill message, Prof. Matazu says, the Agency views the Servicom Unit as an integral part of the organisation’s drive to reposition NiMet to have a semblance of the private-sector by prioritizing Efficiency, Timeliness, Customer -friendly and Adequate Service delivery.
“NiMet services cuts across all the sectors of the economy since weather is life and life is weather and despite the paucity of funds everywhere, NiMet rewards hard work, dedication and loyalty”.

In her opening remarks, the National Coordinator, Mrs Nnenna Akajemili represented by Mrs, Jumai Abdullahi lauded NiMet for hosting the event while stressing the need for other Federal government Agencies to set up Servicom units, while those who possess a functional unit should review their service charter.
According to her, “A service charter prescribes what customers stand to gain by patronising a particular service provider”.
