A delegation from the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is currently in Taizhou, China, to participate in the 2024 International Engineering Congress (IEC2024).
The event with the theme “Engineering Innovation: Cooperation for Mutual Benefits,” is scheduled from November 7th to 9th.
The congress aims to bring together leading experts and policymakers from around the world to discuss critical issues such as international cooperation in engineering education, emerging technologies, and engineering capacity development.
Key topics include artificial intelligence, open engineering, and green design, among others.
Representing the NSE President, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, is Engr. Isaac Ademola Agoro, FNSE, Vice President of the Professional Development Board.
He is slated to participate in a high-level dialogue on “Competencies for Emerging Technology Professional Engineers: Green Design and Environmental Protection.”
Also, Engr. Olumayowa Idowu, FNSE, Chairman of the Abeokuta Branch, will be a panelist in a session focused on career advancement, titled “Engineering Education and Cultivation of Outstanding Engineers.”
The NSE’s participation in IEC2024 underscores its commitment to fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
