On a yearly basis, individuals, organizations, government officials and the media are honoured/applauded for their selfless service, resilience, courage and contributions to promoting a safe, secured and profitable air transportation in Nigeria.

Such applause through the giving of an award is telling the recipients that more is required of them, not just only to consolidate on their achievements but to improve upon it and take it to a greater level and as the saying goes; “to whom much is given, much is expected”.

This is what the Nigeria Aviation Award, NIGAV, organized by FCI Limited always seeks to achieve.

Over the years, the awards has propelled many to strive for excellence, many individuals and organizations who were before now not known to have made breathroughs in their businesses, their field of endeavors or their contributions seem to be obscured to the public have been blown to the limelight through this avenue.

This year 2018 will not be different as awards will be given out to the deserving ones to say well done and thank you for contributing their quota to the safety, security, comfort and growth of the Nigerian Aviation industry.

Last year, there were over 40 various categories of awards and to spice up the event was the introduction of the King and Queen of the Air and also charitable donation to the SOS children’s Village in Lagos

Commenting on the 2018 9th NIGAV awards and Ministerial Dinner, the organizer and President of FCI, Mr. Fortune Idu said the award is to “inspire industry professionals to strive for excellence and the Nigerian Aviation Award has stood out as a prime brand for motivation and promotion of industry growth in a safe and sustainable manner”.
